2017 Fall Tree Planting
The Rutledge Shade Tree Commission will be organizing our Fall 2017 planting on November 18th. We will be surveying and focusing our planting on Rutledge Avenue, but all Rutledge residents are encouraged to order a tree! These trees must serve as “street trees” and will be planted in the public right-of-way, which is 50-feet from the center of the street, into your yard. So let us know if you are interested!
Partnering with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society,
we are able to offer bare-root
12-Foot Trees for only $40
which will be planted during a 1-day community planting!
Below are the trees we have available from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS). Click on the tree names to view more information about each species. Please take a look at the size and characteristics of the trees, and let us know which trees you like. We will make recommendations specific to your planting location and help to find the best fit before we place our order.
– PLEASE RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE –
Quantities of each tree species are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis for all municipalities participating in this planting. We’d love to get our order in soon, and make sure you get the tree you really want!
