With the pending storm predicted to hit our region sometime late Saturday and into Sunday, Mayor Greg Lebold is declaring a State of Emergency starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, and continuing through Sunday.
Residents who need assistance during the storm should call 911. A command post will be set up at the Morton Police Station to assist with rapid response to these calls.
Updates will be provided on the web and via the Borough listserv throughout the day, provided there is Internet service. If we have a loss of service, update notices will be posted at the Borough Hall, weather permitting. The Morton Borough Hall will serve as the primary emergency shelter, with the Rutledge Borough Hall and Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) serving as back-up locations, should that become necessary.
