Mayor Announcement

Announcement Regarding Borough Council:

At the Rutledge Council Meeting on June 4th, 2012, Mayor Greg Lebold announced that he would be resigning from his position immediately due to an upcoming relocation out of the borough. As a result of Mayor Lebold’s resignation, the Rutledge Borough Council will be accepting letters of interest from residents who would like to be considered for the position of Mayor. In order to be eligible for the position, the applicant must be a resident of the borough for longer than a year at the time of election/appointment and be a registered voter.

If you would like to be considered for the position, please submit a letter of intent to Rutledge Borough Council, care of the President of Borough Council, including a resume highlighting professional and academic credentials, and a short paragraph explaining what would be some of your goals for the borough if you are appointed/elected to the position of Mayor. You may mail or hand deliver your letter to the Rutledge Borough Hall at 212 Unity Terrace, Rutledge, PA 19070.

Review of letters and resumes will begin immediately with the hope of interviewing applicants at the Committee Meeting on June 18, 2012, and a vote by Borough Council during the Work Session on June 25, 2012. Please direct any questions to 610.544.1028.

Thank you.

M. Diane McGaughey

President of Borough Council
