Agenda
Roll Call – Joe, Sidd, Sean, Andrea, Stephen, Scott
Minutes – July Meeting Notes approved.
Planning Commission Seats – Open seats (1) to be continued to be advertised.
Borough Comprehensive Planning –
Ad Hoc Historic Committee had 4 members voted in; one seat remains open. Discussion around whether or not Planning Commission removes this from agenda; potential to support efforts to support the committee.
Ways to track the environmental planning objectives; need to identify what items we track proactively versus reactively. E.g. planning during budgeting as proactive rather than tracking something like permits.
Review of Comp Plan and Climate Action Plan, action matrix, and benchmarks included. PA DEP data was used, with data from 2017. If this data is being collected again, it would be ideal for measuring against benchmark.
Action Item:
- Connect with Borough Council Leadership on potential communication method / joint working session for tracking of Comp Plan action items in matrix
Grants Research – Rutledge Resiliency Hub –
No updates.
Rutledge Participation in the CPRG (Climate Pollution Reduction Grants) Program –

Largely looking to bring borough hall to life with events that use the space during the day; a good example is the partnership with Interborough schools for testing space.
Borough Hall roof replacement still in process with some contracts coming to vote. This effort will add insulation and improve building energy efficiency drastically.
Crozer-Chester Medical Center Closure
ALS officially running by July 31st; new ambulance is in place.
Next step is the working group multi-municipal authority. Sean Sheehan is the Rutledge Borough representative in the working group. Likely the Planning Commission will be engaged when specific recommendations are ready for consideration.
