| Mayor’s Report | Swarthmore Police Department – Monthly report from June 12th to July 16tho Ten (10) parking tickets, two (2) traffic warnings and zero (0) traffic citations were issued during the months of June to July.Three (3) Medical calls, One (1) On Cell Phone warning, One (1) No rear lights warning.Chambers Nat’l Night Out – Tue, Aug 4, 5:30-7:30pm (bbq, SPD, MRFC, other tables; see Sharon Parker for info)Chief Stufflet shares his appreciation for both Mayor Sherif and Sharon Parker for their support in making this event possible. He is hopeful it will be successful and continue in future years. He shares National Night Out is a national recognition of public emergency services and an opportunity for them to connect positively with community groups. | Public Safety Committee | Information Sharing | MOU with Swarthmore Borough/SPD – Draft MOU prepared by Swarthmore Solicitor to transfer the agreement from contract to MOU. Currently looking at specifics to make it renewable and how is it possible manage increased costs in an equitable way (increase of payment 3% YoY or % of total costs). Aim is to have document available for vote in August.ALS/Regional Authority – Vote planned for Wednesday September 2nd at 7PM. Council members from all represented communities will in turn host a session and vote to approve the authority. There is still discussion around who will represent the borough with the authority. |
