Borough Council representatives: Sean Sheehan, Andrew Marques
Appointed Committee members: Joe Healy, Sean Sheehan, Stephen Weimar, Scott Hezlep, Sid Misra
Planning Commission Seats

Planning Commission 2026 Focus
Meeting attendees collectively agreed that research on the Planning Commissions of nearby areas do not closely align to the dynamics of Rutledge.
Comprehensive Plan Tracking
Sean proposed requesting updates from Borough Council prior to the 2nd monthly Borough Council meeting (work session). In addition, Stephen mentioned neighbor feedback requesting more concrete examples or results of the work of the Planning Commission. Andrew responded that there may be opportunity to improve outreach within the Borough in order to provide routine updates from the Planning Commission. Scott and Sid added that Borough residents may either be unaware or unwilling to follow Rutledge activities via email or Facebook.
Joe added that the February working session with Borough Council surfaced the need for accountability towards long-range goals, such as those outlined in the Comprehensive Plan. Sean added that the Planning Commission may be able to solicit the broader community for input on goals or objectives the Planning Commission should pursue.
As an example, Sean raised discussion of a forthcoming proposal for a Borough earned income tax and the benefit of property tax rates and diversified revenue streams for the Borough.
New Business
Sid raised ideas for how to broaden the programming at Triangle Park, citing recent success with Night at the Triangle and possibly expanding the event to include either an open-fire grill or campfire.
Action item: Joe agreed to follow up with Heidi Sentivan and other individuals involved with planning the Triangle Park renovation to identify the types of activities expected in the new Park design.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm
