Special Message from Mayor Cunningham

Everyone,

Please be assured that the Borough of Rutledge is doing everything it can during this major storm.  Tom Kopp, the Director of Public safety, and myself along with the members of Borough Council are keeping a close eye on the storm.  Karl Eilinsfeld, the Highway Man, has been picking up debris and cleaning the storm drains prior to the storm.  He will also assist us in closing any roads because of downed trees or downed wires.  In the case of a power outage, PECO will take care of us.  They take of the more serious situations first then work their way down the list.  Rutledge will be taken care of.  People will have to be patient during a storm of this magnitude.

Also, the people of town have to be smart.  DO NOT GO OUTSIDE DURING THE STORM!!  If you have an emergency please call 911.  That is your best way to a fast response.  Let’s take care of one another and show everyone what Rutledge is really about.

Good luck and be safe and smart.

Kevin Cunningham
Mayor
