Spring Cleaning & Property Maintenance

Spring is here and it’s time to work on our properties while enjoying the great weather! When your yard looks nice, it inspires your neighbors to take better care of their yards.
Citizens are reminded of some things we all must do:
* Keep grass cut to less than six inches.
* Keep tree and bush branches that overhang sidewalks trimmed to higher than eight feet over the walkway and higher than 14 feet above the roadway.
* Keep curb, sidewalk, and street front free and clear of debris and garbage.
* Park cars on pavement, not on the grass.
* Raise woodpiles on blocks to eliminate any potential rodent nesting.

Some low costs things we can do to increase curb appeal:
* Paint front door and shutters.
* Install some outdoor lighting – and go solar.
* Line front walk and stairs with a container garden.
* Install window boxes.
* Create a new planting bed.
* Re-stain or tar driveway.
* Plant a tree.

When all of our yards look nice, people will want to live in our community, property sales will pick-up again, and we’ll all benefit as our property value goes back up with those sales.
