Important Message from Tom Kopp, the Rutledge Borough Public Safety Officer, dated Monday, October 29th

Please keep the following in mind during the storm:

*If you have a personal generator (that is not permanently outside) in use during a power outage, please do not run it inside because of dangerous carbon monoxide levels that may result in your home.
*Stock up on bottled water or canned foods
*Make sure you have flashlights and batteries available
*Have bagged ice and coolers available to keep perishable food safe
*You can check the status and path of the storm at www.weather.gov/phi

If you do experience an emergency, need assistance, or see a downed power or electrical wire, please make sure to call 911 immediately.  The Morton-Rutledge Fire Company will be at the Fire Station throughout the storm to answer emergency calls and be available for residents.
